The Earthrace is daring and exciting maritime adventure - a bid using only renewable fuels, to break the world speed record for circumnavigating the globe in a powerboat.
At over 24,000 nautical miles the Earthrace represents the pinnacle of powerboat challenges. The current record, just less than 75 days, was set by British boat "Cable & Wireless" in 1998. The Earthrace crew is aiming to smash this record by up to 10 days with their biodiesel-powered, 24m (78ft) wave-piercing trimaran.
